At Space Health Research, we know that National Space Agency astronaut training includes outdoor skills. For our Space Exploration Experience Programme (SEEP), we are now accredited to deliver the National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS). These are certificated navigation courses that you take part in and gain transferable skills, just like an astronaut.

NNAS Bronze National Navigation Award is a practical, hands-on award where you can learn how to navigate. It is designed for people with limited navigation experience – whether you are new to the outdoors or have been relying on others, guidebooks or easy well-defined routes. For the full Bronze Navigator award syllabus please see the NNAS website. Maximum instructor to participant ratio is 1:8. The NNAS Bronze Navigator award is accredited by the Scottish Credit & Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at Level 4, and 2 SCQF credit points are awarded on completion.

The course takes place over 2 days and is non-residential. Remember to wear outdoor clothing (NOT made of cotton), wear comfortable outdoor boots/shoes, and bring plenty of food, snacks, and water on both days.

Discounts are available for group bookings at a location and date of your choice! Email hello@spacehealthresearch.com to discuss NNAS navigator award group bookings.
